About Us

Bartolotta Fireworks Company started with a couple of semi-trailers (on rented property), and in 1980, the family bought 43 acres on the north side of the Town of Genesee where they have been operating the company ever since. The initial business consisted of 3 or 4 shows a year, but has now increased to over 500 displays, with the Bartolottas shooting fireworks around the calendar for many events. The popularity of fireworks has grown and are used for weddings, fundraisers, company functions and much more.

Bartolotta Fireworks Company employs a full-time team of 10 year round. During the 4th of July and the weekend surrounding the holiday they temporarily employ 400 people to put on the 75 to 100 shows throughout the state.

Training:
Although a college degree is not required to become a pyrotechnician, anyone employed to assist the Bartolottas at a show must go through continuous training period. First the trainees' head to the classroom where they go over a safety manual and are required to take a written exam. After they pass the test, hands on experience is provided.

The Bartolotta Difference:
The Bartolottas constantly work on improving their performance and developing their own style. More fireworks are shot off in a shorter time and the methods have become more sophisticated. The Bartolottas' unique style is famous in Wisconsin when it comes to fireworks. That style not only involves shooting a myriad of fireworks, but also includes choreographing many of their shows to music, for a totally entertaining experience. Time-consuming preparation is taken to select soundtracks, and determine which fireworks will be shot at which point in the soundtrack, to create the best effect. Each firework is attached to a timing fuse set up to correspond with the music.

And as a result of that hard work, the Bartolottas have proven
time and time again that they know how to entertain a crowd!
